COVID19 Update

Whilst government guidelines allowed us to open on the 4th July at Enigmatology, we have taken the decision to delay opening to ensure we are making our venue as safe as possible for both our customers and our staff.

The COVID19 outbreak took all of us by surprise and as a result we have had to make several changes to processes and procedures to ensure your visit with us is safe. We will be reopening soon but please bear with us a little longer while we ensure everything is in place.

Below are the steps we are currently taking to ensure our guests and staff are safe:

  • SOCIAL BUBBLES ONLY: Bookings will only be accepted where your team consists of those within your social bubble. We ask you not to abuse this request to ensure your safety and that of our staff. At the time of booking we will request the names of team members to ensure we can comply with any track and trace requests from NHS England.
  • QUARANTINE: We ask that if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have had contact with someone who has received a positive test result within the last 14 days that you email us to reschedule your booking. We shall be as flexible as possible.
  • EXCLUSIVE SITE ACCESS: We are beginning by opening only one game “The Strange Case of Professor Crowhagen” and will be increasing the time between game slots to allow for cleaning and to ensure that your team has exclusive site access.
  • DISINFECTION: All items within the games, such as props, padlocks, keys, and furniture and high touch areas will be disinfected between each game
  • SANITISER: Hand sanitisers are available within each room for use by guests and we require that guests use these before the commencement of the game. We also encourage guests to use these at regular intervals during the game.
  • FACE MASKS: Whilst playing our games all players will be required to wear a face mask unless you have a medical reason that precludes you doing so. To minimise disruption we request that you bring your own mask with you. We request that you take any disposable masks home with you at the end of your game and dispose of them appropriately.
  • STAFF HYGIENE: Staff will be required to wear face masks whilst interacting with you during your visit. Staff will be also be required to wash their hands between every game reset.
  • REQUIREMENTS: We are closely monitoring the situation and following the guidelines issued by the UK Government and Public Health England to ensure we comply with all requirements. As a result, we may be required to close or postpone games at short notice. Should this occur, we will always contact you as soon as possible to advise you on the changes to your booking.
  • We thank you for supporting us during this difficult time. If you have any concerns that you’d like to discuss with us, please email us at info@enigmatology.co.uk
