Cookies are small files stored in your computers browser when you visit a website. These files enable the website to provide you a better experience from instance remembering where you left if you close the browser by mistake or remembering your login name when you visit again. We sometimes use cookies on our site to ensure you get the best possible browsing experience, these files do not contain any personal data and do not identify you as an individual.
We also use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. Again this information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
E-mail Addresses
When you visit us at Enigmatology we will ask you to sign a short terms and conditions form after we have explained the rules of the game this is to ensure that you understand the rules of the game and agree that you want to take part. As part of the terms and conditions we ask that you also give us your e-mail address although this is entirely optional, so that we can send you an email after the game to give us your feedback, we may also from time to time send you an e-mail if we have a new room opening or something really interesting going on. We do not believe in SPAM and sending endless e-mails offering discounts or other information we don’t think you would be interested in. We will never share your e-mail address with any third parties, all the mails come directly from us and are written by us. If you decide later that you would rather not receive e-mails from us just lets us know by mailing us at, we will not be offended and will remove your details from our systems.
During your game with us the room you are will be monitored via a CCTV system. We use this to ensure safety and also to enhance the experience by providing you clues and hints at the appropriate time should you need them. This data is not stored long-term and is purged from our systems after a maximum lifetime of 48 hours.
If you are successful in solving one of the mystery’s at Enigmatology we will offer you the chance to have a photo taken with our coveted mystery solved sign. Whilst we would love for you to join in this is once again optional and entirely up to you. We will ask you to consent to this as part of signing our terms and conditions form before your game begins. We use these photo’s to occasionally post on our website or to our Facebook page to show your friends and other interested people your happy smiling faces and show how much fun visiting Enigmatology can be. We may on occasion also promote these photos on Facebook so we can spread the word.
Other companies we work with
Whilst we never pass on your information to other parties we do use other services to enable you to book a mystery room with us. These are namely:
Bookify – who provide us with scheduling software to ensure that you are able to select a free slot at your chosen time.
Stripe – who we use to process payments on our behalf.

This data is stored securely as part of our contract with these companies and whilst we can see most of the above data we cannot see full credit card details as Stripe stores these securely to meet strict PCI processing standards.
Should you at any time wish to see\update the data we hold about you in these systems or you want the data removed please contact us at and we will delete/provide/update as appropriate all the records we hold for you. Please note if you wish to see details of the information we hold about you, we will need to verify your identity before making this available as we make sure your data is safe with us.
